"The Nutcracker" extended one more weekend due to popular demand
JOSHUA TREE, CA – With standing ovations and shouts of "encore!" The Nutcracker turned magical for the Hi-Desert Cultural Center as the Joshua Tree Philharmonic orchestra and a professional cast of actors brings laughter, warmth, and the spirit of the Christmas season to the Desert. Even with added seating to accommodate the large audiences, the Center has experienced unprecedented demand and is thrilled to announce that it is extending the show run of its popular production one more weekend. The added performances for The Nutcracker will occur on Friday, December 16th at 7pm and Saturday, December 17th at 2pm. Come and experience Tchaikovsky's famed musical masterpiece as it is brought to life like never before!

The orchestra brilliantly realizes Tchaikovsky's famed musical masterpiece under the direction of Maestro Jarrod Radnich while the tale is vibrantly told in a new reader's theater presentation, directed by the acclaimed Justin Blake. With the fifty members of the Orchestra, the cast that includes Corbett Brattin, Mika Young, Marty Neider, Peter Mins, Robby Nothstine and Maelei Blackburn, will bring to life the magical Christmas fairytale of the Nutcracker Prince and the evil Mouse King in a delightful performance.
