FROM THE JOSHUA TREE, CALIFORNIA AREA PRESENT
AN EVENING OF ORIGINAL MUSIC IN A STYLE
THAT HAS BEEN CALLED THE
"SIGNATURE SOUND OF THE REGION."

JOSHUA TREE, CA – Perhaps the most prolific style of the musical arts in the Joshua Tree area is the singer/songwriter. At the Hi-Desert Cultural Center’s Blak Box Theater on Saturday, October 11th, from 8:00 pm till 10:30 pm, a hand-picked group of six of the community’s most celebrated singer/songwriters will perform original music in a round table format with guitar and vocals.

From earliest times the solo artist expressing the news of the day through song has been the essential troubadour voice of the musical arts. Today this tradition permeates the prolific Joshua Tree area music scene and has cultivated a high caliber of artistry through different approaches and influences receiving the attention of the music world at large.

The two-set round table format of performance at the “6X6” concert will give the audience the opportunity to get to know each of the artists. There will be an intermission with a cash bar and the artists will be on hand for questions. The event is being held in conjunction with the Morongo Basin Cultural Arts Council’s Annual Open Studio Art Tour’s first weekend line-up of cultural arts activities throughout the Joshua Tree, California area.
